Subculture Recordings started 2 years ago with the Subculture DnB project, aiming at spreading thedrum’n'bass cultureand getting people consciously closer to that. Producers,djs, mc and vjs organized parties and events inviting Italian and International artists who are very famous on the Drum and Bass scene.
Thanx to the experience aquired during the last years, Subculture DnB decided to set up Subculture Recording in order to promote break beat and drum & bass productions nationally and abroad.
Davide Virdis, the human behind the name of SYNTH, begins its path in electronic music at the end of ‘90 .. he starts quickly play hardtechno around the city of Cagliari with his inseparable yamaha Rm1x..
In 2002 his passion towards the manipulation of sound and noise led him to attend a course of sound engineering at CPM in Milan where he graduated with honors ..
On his return in Sardinia its productions start to approach more to the darker and industrial Drum’n'Bass sounds , until finally arrives in 2006 its first official release on the label Transistor Technology with the track “Vulcan-Minigun on Trial” and a couple of months later, his own track”Nervous Breakdown”is out on “Infected by the Sickness CD”, the first Future Sickness promo CD.. Towards the end of 2006 begins to organize events at the famous and disreputable “Transilvania Live” in Cagliari with his friend Arsenico Rram. So, it’s born the Break-Block, a booking agency dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of the dark side of the DnB ..
Until now, Synth has shared the console with names like the Panacea, Audio, Unknown Error, Donny, Matt M. Maddox, Asian Dub Foundation …
